In the twenty-second century, magic was discovered at the centre of the planet by two twins. They were worshipped as gods and often referred to as the Cosmos twins due to their powers over time and space. But their magic was questioned and their secret was discovered. The government decided – after numerous test – that magic should be shared among the people. They sent in six men and women down as a trial. Lucas Natural, Andrew Voltagen, Vivian Paradoxi, Francesca Agua, Deidre Shifter and Jerome Necromancer. When they returned, they each had a special type of magic. It was decreed that magic should be shared amongst everyone to further the human race. But after a while, people started to notice these black creatures. One man, Dr Lawrence Viron, believed that these creatures should be studied, but over time, he named the creatures after himself and he became their leader. He learnt that Virons’ were created out of the negative, evil energy subtracted from the positive energy that went into all Magical Beings. Dr Lawrence believed that the Virons’ deserve better, so he led them into battle with the Magical Beings. The Viron’s lost but vowed to return. The Magical Beings decided to divide themselves into territories, each territory housing the different types of magic. Other than the odd territorial dispute, life on earth was peaceful. Until a large group of power hungry Magical Beings killed all the royals, blamed it on a magical disease and began calling themselves Elders.

Jack sat up. She had been lying in the field for way too long. She rubbed the back of her neck before standing. As she squinted into the sun, she saw a bird perch on the branch above her. She smiled and began to walk sheepishly back home. What a mouthful she was going to get.

Meri sat in the woods outside the Natural's village. She was by a river and she stuck her feet in. She missed the caress of the water on her skin. She felt homesick. Meri wanted to come and explore this land world, but she has not learned much so far. And having ran away, she knew she was going to be in trouble when she gets back making her a little more sluggish to return. She slashed the water with her feet, getting the ends of her pants wet, her shoes next to her.
Finally she got up, putting on her boots and went to the village. She needed to find work. She had take a lot of money with her and stashed some of it in a secrete place. The rest she had with her, but she wanted secure income. She has been on land for a month now and still has not found a job. Meri was worrying that money was going to send her back home before her curiosity was satisfied.

Just lay in her bid in the cottage she shared with her mother. she was tired after the day's work. Nothing to exiting: gathering herbs in the forest the season their meals, tending the gardens, caring for the chickens and goats(feeding and collecting the chicken's eggs and miking the goat). She rolled over and pulled out a large leather bound book from under her bed then moving to sit by the window to catch the afternoon's sunlight.

Jack walked briskly through her small village. Natural territory was always a peaceful place to rejuvinate. The air was always fresh. But there were always inns at every corner and the smeel made her a little sick. People returned from missions beyond the territory and were congratulated. That was going to be her some day.
Jack bumped into someone, forgetting were she was going. "Sorry," she mumbled, looking up quickly to see who it was. It was a girl, she hadn't seen her before and she looked lost. What was more, she looked like an Agua. "Can I help you?"

Meri looked at the girl who had just ran into her. She seemed like a nice girl. "No, I'm out here finding flowers for my mother." She held up flowers she had indeed pick but not for her mother. She picked them for herself. "I was just about to head back now." Meri gave the girl a small smile. It was interesting to interact with someone her own age as opposed to an adult. She was rather interesting in these people's culture.

"Oh, well... Have a good day!" She gave the girl a charming smile. Jack may be sixteen but she had always acted a little younger than she should have. She was always the light of a party because of her bubbly character. She waved as she walked away from the girl, back to her home. She had left her skythe there and she knew she shouldn't have. People's powers were always increased in strength and acuracy when they had their "magical" weapons with them. Jack had become bound to her skythe, which always made her look menacing when she wasn't.

Meri ran to catch up with this delighted girl. "What's your name?" She wanted to ask so many more questions, but knew that would seem suspicious. She held herself back, only to keep her cover. She looked down, seeing her bow slung over her head and beneath that was her clothes. Meri knew she needed to get new ones, no people of the land would have clothes like hers. She just had not gotten around to find any she liked yet.

Jack stopped and turned to the girl. "My name is Jaquence. But everyone just calls me Jack. You can too if you like. What's your name?" She kept her smile. She was happy that someone was actually talking to her and not at her for once. She took in the girl's clothes and weapon. She had wanted to be bound to a bow but didn't have the pleasure.

(Could you explain the magic and the weapon stuff more? I am not exactly sure about it and don't want to be incorrect about it.)

"My name is Meri, it's nice to meet you Jack." She resisted holding out her hand. It was a Agua thing, to grasp a new person's forearm. But as far as Meri could tell, that practice was not performed here.

(Sure. Basically, when any beings that have magic flow through their veins discover their powers for the first time on their own and know what that is, they bind half of their magic into a weapon. It's not their choice, it just happens. When they realise this hasd happened, they carry the weapon everywhere.)

Jack held out her arm. She wasn't sure if it was commonly used among women and girls but she wanted to give it a try.

Meri grasp her arm, releasing it after a second. She noticed the girl's skyth on her back. It was almost funny seeing such a sweet person with such a fearsome weapon. Meri continued to walk toward the village, "So have you lived here your whole life?" She tried to seem relaxed, but she bounced on her heals revealing her excitement at finally getting to ask some questions.

Jack nodded. “Yep. Apparently I was born in Agua but my parents said that shortly after we moved here so I don’t remember anything about it.” She was walking towards her house instinctively. Normally when someone was walking with her she walked somewhere else but she really needed to get home. “So where are you from? You don’t look like you are from around here.”

Meri bit her lip, she was not sure what she wanted to say. This girl, Jack, was born in Agaus territory, but does that mean she could trust her? She did know her real name, so she could figure out who she was. Maybe it's best if she did not tell her, for now at least. "I'm a traveler. I was born in Voltagen territory and I left the second I could. I did not like it there one bit." She was partially telling the truth. Meri had visited there for a while when she first found land and did not enjoy it. It was too crowded and too polluted for her tastes.
As they made their way into town, Meri observed the buildings. She had been looking at the for a while, loving the architecture here. She had not been in but a few shops so she was dying to see more.

Jack giggled. "Voltagen territory huh? I heard it's quite crowded there." She added a little bit of a skip to her step. She was almost home and she felt a little better about going now that she had found a new friend... of a sorts. She turned back to Meri. "Hey, do you want to stay for lunch? I'm sure my family won't mind."

Meri was surprised by the easy request this girl made. She did not even know her that well, but she already felt like this girl was a friends. Maybe it was her bubbly, easy going personality. "I would love to." Meri smiled at how great this was going to be.

"Great! My house is down the end here and to the left. Come on." She grabbed Meri's hand and started to run to her house. Her mother would still give her a serve for being late but that would hopefully lessen when she saw Meri. Meri was the first girl she had met that was around the same age as her. She was glad that she could make a friend for once.
Jack rounded the small corner to her front door and burst through it, still guiding Meri. Her mother stood on the staircase, her arms folded and her eyes cold. "Jaquence Merianda-Carla Vibialey. Where have you been?" Her voice was coated with annoyance. Jack looked up at her and smiled, hopeing it would put her mother at ease. "I met a girl in the markets," she said pulling Meri to her side. "Her name is Meri. I invited her for lunch." Her mother's eyes softened slightly. Jack hoped that bringing Meri for lunch would be enough to postpone the lecture that she would inevitaby get for being late, again.
Jack's mother smiled for the first time since Jack had been home. "Of course. Take her to the dining room. I'm sure we have enough room for one more." Jack gave a small, silent sigh of relief. She guided Meri to the dining room, which was filled with mainly a wooden table and chairs. On the table was a crisp white cloth, some plates and a green and gold vase filled with flowers from the fields.

Meri was still holding the flowers from earlier and added them to the vase on the table. She smiled at how the blue flowers she had brought contrasted the white ones already in the vase. "You have a wonderful home." She looked around at the quaint house, obviously full of personality and heart. Meri took a seat at the table, "Do you have any siblings?" She asked Jack, now looking at the pattern on the plates. She wished that her home could be this snug and cozy. She rarely ran into her parents or her little brother. Meri liked this close proximity better than the wide birth her home forces between her family.

“One. I have a younger sister but we don’t spend a lot of time together anymore. She started St Lucas a couple of weeks ago. I’m due to start tomorrow.” She tidied the bench on the opposite side of the room as she spoke. “How about you? You got any siblings?”

"I have a little brother. I don't know him that well especially now that he is a teenager. We use to be close when we were little, but age drew us apart." Meri moved the table cloth under her hand, enjoying the feel of the fabric. "What is St. Lucas?"

Jack stopped what she was doing and turned. "How long have you been in Natural Territory for?!" she asked, genuinely surprised.

Meri shrugged, knowing that she gave a bit of her history away. Soon, I will tell her soon. She was just waiting for the perfect opportunity to tell her of her Agua past. "I have been here a while, like a few months." Meri smiled, hoping to distract from not knowing about an important fact. St. Lucas sounded familiar, probably from occasional mention in her text books. But she could not remember exactly what it was.

Jack smiled and looked past Meri to the doorway. “Just a sec. I need to find my sister and help her bring the food out. It was her turn to cook.” She walked past Meri towards the kitchen. Sara should be finished with the food by now but she would need help to carry it out.
