Elaboration of Spam Empty

Spam

This is to explain to you exactly what spam is, why it isn’t allowed, and how you will be treated if you do spam. We wanted to make sure everyone understands what spam is, and if you do not read this and then spam, you will still be punished. So it is best if you read and understand it. This will be enforced strictly, and if you have any questions or concerns feel free to PM a staff member.

Have many breaks in your sentences. There are a few conditions with this and examples will be given of what will be considered spam and what will not.
This would be considered spam:
FallChild: I
FallChild: really
FallChild: enjoy
FallChild: Spam
FallChild: Because
FallChild: It
FallChild: Is
FallChild: Fun

These are examples of what would be okay:
Cyrus: I am never
Cyrus: ever
Cyrus: EVER
Cyrus: doing that again

Cyrus: I mean
Cyrus: it was really bad, man
Cyrus: don’t try it
Cyrus: seriously
In the chat box this would be annoying to others, because it would take up a lot of space and hinder other conversations. Of course, if you do abuse the privilege then you will be punished for it. Some people have a certain style to the way they type, breaking their sentences up over a few lines. This is fine as long as it does not get too out of control.

A great deal of emoticons in a row.
Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
Having that many is simply not needed. It is understandable if you do one or two, but an ‘army’ is considered spam. Like all other spam, it is annoying to others.

Quoting of others. This would be by means of copy and paste. Mainly we are talking about massive amounts of quoting here.
This is a quick example and does not have the exact same layout as the chat box but it is main for example so you will understand.
[Random time and date] FallChild: Something interesting that people wish to repeat for some reason. [At a later random time and date] Anorak: A comment that is somehow interesting about my somehow interesting reply before. [At an even later time and date] FallChild: Some other remark that people find noteworthy. [The latest time and date] Cyrus: Saying something that is very boss like, the person didn’t mean to copy this as well, knowing what Cyrus would do to them if he found out if you were quoting his genius without permission.
All of those statements would have, metaphorically, already been said in the chat. There would be no reason to repeat that many at once.

Constant repeating. As in sending the same message over and over again, or a slightly changed variation.
Example:
Hey
Hey
Hey
Hey
Hi
Hello
Hey
This is spam, and if you put this in one giant message it is also considered spam. So please, keep repeat words to a minimum. Once the message is out there, it is there, so there is no need to repeat it over again.

Other information. Massive blocks of information, like quoting an article, are okay as long as they are relevant to the subject. Any combination of these examples of spam would also be considered spam. If you spam and there is not a staff member in the chat at that time, you did not just get off lucky. When a staff member sees it in the archives, you will be punished for it. So do not think you can get away with whatever you want when there is not a staff member in the chat.
Spam is not allowed because of its annoyance to the community. The staff will work to make sure it is taken care of if it occurs. So if you are in the chat with no staff around, screen shot the chat and report it to staff. The staff does not want anyone else dealing with these issues and for you to ignore them when they do arise.
Finally, the severity of each of these spams vary. You can get off with a warning or get kicked, but if you do not stop spamming then you will get banned.
Again, if you have any questions, feel free to contact a staff member. If any other issue comes up about spamming, it will be here.
Please review all the rules here, and remember them as well for the chat.
