What can we do when we feel depressed?

Normally, I would seclude and shut myself down from the world or talk to friends. When I was younger I would try thinking of happy things; like birthdays or christmas.  

I don't think that someone can easily feel depressed. Feeling alone, yes, but not depressed. Anyway, my schedule is always very fulfilled, that's why I cannot feel alone. I am obliged to meet many people daily, so you could say that I am a very sociable person. However, in the holidays, when I am alone, I usually organize some amazing excursions with my friends or with my girlfriend. Having fun with your friends is the best activity that you can do!

I always try to keep myself busy when i'm alone, but i don't think you get depressed of that.

I don't think i have ever felt depressed, just try to think of happy thoughts such as a holiday or happy occasion

I agree here, being social is a great way to be mentally healthy

Then... be mostly anti-social like me and party by yourself on an empty chatroom. Or you could go onto one of those websites where you can talk to a robot/bot.

i play pool its my hobby

When I'm feeling upset I like to seclude myself and just draw / write. I make some of my best work in this state, because they're filled with emotion.

I have a hard time programming in this state though. I need to be super happy and confident to do that well.

Lol, I never tried it but it wouldn't hurt to try

I usually talk with friends, visit my forums, administrate my forum, watch Netflix, or just sleep when I'm depressed.
