You may encounter when you login, there is a fairly large sized box that says, 'You are disconnected.' This does not mean the chatbox isn't working, it simply means you have not logged into the chatbox.

In the top right hand corner of the chatbox is a button which says 'login.' Click it and you'll be good to go.
