Eh, right now it's a yes and no. I'd probably have to switch between PS3 and PS4 to play games I want to play until they're avaliable on PS4.

In Gold: Not in the slightest due to the elemental punches.

You don't start off with Ampharos or anything in it's evolutionary family, you'd have to get a starter and swap, meaning at one stage you had two pokemon.

You still technically have to have 2 pokemon in your party at some stage of it if you use a Typhlosion , because there are multiple areas where you need to use surf.

*Hacks typhlosion to learn surf.* For instances like that I just tried to catch a pokemon that could learn surf but I wasn't allowed to use said pokemon for battle.
