| Has anyone played the Persona series? Most people are only familiar with 3 and 4, as 1 and both two's have more of a niche appeal, but they're still great games.
So if you're looking for giant RPG's with plenty of hours in the story, then I suggest you to give the series a try. |

| Several of my friends play Persona. I, however, have never been too interested in it. I guess from what I've seen of it, it just doesn't seem appealing enough to me. |

You and me both! ;_; I hope it will come out sometime in the next year... I am a HUGE Persona fan. I've played all of them except for the P4 Arena spin-offs. Such fantastic games with deep and dark storylines. P3 and P2: Innocent Sin are my favorites, but it's hard to decide which I like the best. P3 is what got me into Persona, and I'm a firm believer it is one of the best games I have ever played. |

| Oh, P3P was great. Did you play the girl or boy version? It is really long though, there's a lot of tower grinding. [s]and the true ending is IMPOSSIBLE UGH[/s] |

| I've been a big fan of P3 and P4 and was very over joyed with the recent P5 and other game announcements. Though I haven't played the first two out of fear they wouldn't be good as the later ones. |

They feel really different from P3 and P4. I can't get into the first game, but Persona 2: Eternal Sin is really good. You can tell how the first games have more of a niche audience, whereas P3 and 4 are more "mainstream" (I'm using that term lightly). Along with the level grinding, there's card grinding. When you get into battles, you can contact the demons, and if you get them interested enough they'll give you tarot cards. You have to collect several of the same arcana to summon the Persona, so this gets very time consuming. |

| The only one I have played is Persona 4 Golden, but man, what a game that is! It has such a great balance between game and narrative, which is so hard to achieve. I love it (I should really get around to finishing it, though). |

It's what I figured, as long as the future games don't use stuff from the first two I won't be bothered not playing them. |

So basically it sounds like you refuse to play the older games because they're different, despite being considered great games? |

So basically it sounds like you refuse to play the older games because they're different, despite being considered great games? I have no doubt they are good, but like many people we don't care much for playing older games where their game play isn't up to modern game style. |

I'm guessing you don't like older games? |
