| The rule, "No extreme cursing" has been expanded on. You can not simply replace the letters in a curse word with symbols. The whole point of this rule is to have an all user friendly environment. While you may have no issue with cursing, other users may feel uncomfortable with it.
It is very easy to avoid using curses. You are on a computer which allows you to read and review what you are saying before you say it. Simply take the curses you would say and replace them with other, cleaner ways of phrasing what you meant.
Thank you.

The rule is in place because we don't want cursing on the site. Imagine you are offended by cursing. Someone is talking to you and starts saying words such as "effing" and the such. That's not much better than just saying the word itself. Allowing starred out words is missing the whole point of the rule entirely. I see no difference between starred out words and the real thing other than different symbols. It seriously isn't that hard to not curse. I curse a lot in normal conversation with my friends, but I keep it clean on this site because those are the rules. If I can do it, I see no reason why any of you shouldn't be able to, as well. It's not like in person where you might accidentally let some things slip because it's part of your normal dialect. You are on a computer which allows you to read and review what you want to say before you say it. |

| Look, is that a demonic duck of some sort? Totally inside joke.
Gonna agree with rules here. Swearing where appropriate is fine in other places, but there's... younger users here. |
