How would a Australian RP set in the 1800s?

The rp will have no goal, it is just gliding threw the years of Australia's Fore-Fathers?

A conflict between free settlers and convicts or those descended from convicts?
Crossing the Great Dividing Range to become squatters?

Well, the convicts did stop coming at 1856... Well, Australia has been circumnavigated by that time, Areas have been predominately found. There were squatters in the Early 1800s?

Well, in the early years there still would be a lot of convicts pouring in.

And there were squatters, they were the people that managed to find a way across the range before the authorities could. I'd think the early 1800s were their heyday.

And although a lot of Australia's coast was navigated, very little was known about its interior. It was even thought that there could be an inland sea.

I think the first fleet might be a bit too early if we want to do something other than serve a seven-year sentence.

They were 14 year services, and life time serves...

Being a convict gives you less options than someone who has either served his sentence or is descended from a convict.

We dont have to go by the guide lines of history.

I would be interested in this role play. The idea of outlaws would be an interesting idea to set off from or stem from. We could possibly be police men, hunting down wanted outlaws - until we discover the outlaws aren't bad people? I'm not sure.

We hunt down the outlaws, then at the end we find out we were the outlaws all along!
