Hi, just to let you guys know here, I don't regularly RP like all of you here do.
So I'd like to know why do you like RPing so much?

*shrugs* It's...hard to explain. I just fell in love with role playing, creating characters, making different realities where everything can happen....

I really like Fantasy tales and the bit of acting. For a few hours you are focusing on a story doing your part, trying to get inside your character head. It is like reading a good book where the story is unfolding as you go. Each player decision can make a difference not even the game-master (who has a draft and moves the story forward.

If you get into you feel the emotions of your character too.

Because I love the games that have a story and I can havey own character

It helps us express our creative side

Ever since I was a kid, I enjoyed writing. When I found out about RPing, I was in love at first site.

For me, I enjoy creating characters. It's not something that I necessarily enjoyed to begin with; it was a shift in interests as far as RPing. Up until a few years ago, I was happy with one or two characters but then I discovered that I had the power to unleash crazy people into writing. The thrill of writing quirks, personality traits and histories (although my histories tend to be boring and rather mild) drew me into the hobby.

And then there's the fact that you get to work with another person who adds his or her ideas to your ideas and then instead of having this rich, awesome world that you have created, you have this richer, more awesome world that the both of you have written together. There your characters frolic in wonder with someone else's characters, and they build upon each other to a point you couldn't have imagined on your own.

I can't really describe how exciting it is when you have a RP rolling and there are fights and battles and friendships and characters are doing things you didn't expect.

I like RPing because of it's melting pot qualities. Several different people bringing their own flare into an established world, writing a glorious story one post at a a time? What's not to love?

Sometimes I do become one with my character that I portraying.. So yeah

i love bring life into a world then adding my character living apart of me i can't do in real life the story unfolding i's brilliant i love being able to see what people would like to see if i was writing a book

I like roleplaying because, like Atlin said, everyone brings their own flare to make a unique story, which can either be serious or silly.

Uhhh i feel in love with RolePlaying about a year and a half ago (When i found out this was a thing) And ever since then i've been roleplaying creating awesome Roleplays, worlds, characters, designs, just everything. I love it so much because it lets your imagination go wild, it helps you find out a little about yourself, like for example most of my characters if not all are evil... in a sort of way. Another thing i found out was that i need to fix my writing skills, which i am still working on. I can go on for ever but those are some examples

I dont really like forums roleplay since it is hard to keep track. However I do like rpg game like.. pokemon.

I find it fun to RP just because it's fun to be someone else while still being yourself I gueess?
